Kuyenda Bushcamp, a Zambia accommodation consists of 4 thatched chalets made from locally obtained materials, such as reed and wood. These charming, traditional chalets can ideally accommodate 6 guests, but can sleep up to 8 guests, if they all belong to the same group. The chalets are rustic, yet comfortable and are taken down and rebuilt annually.
It is a true bush experience with some luxury comforts added in at this Zambia accommodation. The large spacious beds are fitted with comfortable, softly coloured, patterned linen. There are also mosquito nets, to help ensure an undisturbed and peaceful night’s rest.
The interiors of the chalets are traditionally African inspired with earthy colours and rich textures. There is plenty of storage space available in each room for all of your luggage.
Each of the homely chalets also has its own en-suite bathroom that feature a bucket-shower, toilet and hand basin. The shower area is open to the starlit, night sky and the warm sun during the day. Hot water is available, but must be ordered in advance for your shower.
If you think that a bucket-shower is too primitive, do not be concerned. It is not in anyway less effective or less refreshing than a conventional shower. It also adds to the whole safari experience.
The centre of the camp is a hive of activity at this accommodation in Zambia. It consists of the main dining room, lounge and bar area, all housed under an open-fronted thatched structure. It is designed using traditional African décor and the lighting consists of paraffin lanterns and candlelight. This soft lighting enhances the rustic safari feel of this accommodation in Zambia.
