Puku Ridge Tented Camp is situated in the South Luangwa National Park, Zambia. This property has been established on a ridge overlooking the game rich floodplains of the Kakumbi dambo (valley) in the South Luangwa National Park, Zambia. Puku Ridge Tented Camp was named after the shy Puku Antelope, that you may be lucky enough to see, whilst on your safari.
The Luangwa River is the most intact major river system in Africa and is the life blood of the park's 9 050km2. The changing seasons add to the richness ranging from dry, bare Bushveld in the winter to a lush green wonderland in the summer months found in South Luangwa National Park.
This Park hosts a wide variety of wildlife, and vegetation. The now famous ‘walking safari’ originated in South Luangwa National Park, still one of the finest ways to experience this pristine wilderness first hand.
