Chiawa Camp rests peacefully along the river, amongst Mahogany and Acacia trees. The lodge is constructed essentially of natural materials, and is designed to ensure your choice of Zambia accommodation can be fully appreciated.
Chiawa Camp is in large insect-proof safari tents on wooden decks, with canvas flysheets, all with en-suite but not enclosed facilities, flush toilets, 24 hour lighting, hot and cold water, 220v electric power for fans and charging batteries, beds with top quality mattresses, and mosquito nets – all with wonderful views.
The camp can accommodate 16 guests on an independent basis and 18 guests for groups. Zambia accommodation is offered in 6 luxury safari tents and 3 superior safari tents. Each tent is raised on a timber deck with private veranda, making your Zambia accommodation experience all the more personal.
Classic safari tents: The classic safari tents are available with 2 twin or a double bed. The tent is situated on an elevated timber deck overlooking the scenic Zambezi River. The tents feature brass electric table fans. Each tent also has an en-suite shower, flush loo and washbasins. The showers have hot and cold running water.
Honeymoon tent: The honeymoon tent features a breathtaking view of the Zambezi River, escarpment and the Chiawa dry river bed. The tent is the same size as the classic safari tents and feature a comfortable double bed. The bathroom features a Victorian bath with a view and his and hers basins. The shower is big enough for 2. The bathroom is elegantly decorated in wood and brass.
Superior tents: The superior tents are extra large and are situated under thatch. The tents feature amazing views with king size beds and ceiling and table fans. Guests can enjoy pure cotton linens and Molton Brown amenities. The luxurious en-suite bathroom feature a roll-top bath, his and hers washbasins and indoor and outdoor showers.
The Superior I tent features a bathroom outside the tent but still situated on the deck and under the roof. The superior II tent's bathroom is incorporated within the tent. An outdoor tree shower is set up in a mahogany tree overlooking the Zambezi and dry river bed.
