    • Climate:

    Dry Season:
    The best time to visit South Luangwa is during the dry months from June to November. This season starts off warm with daytime temperatures in the region of 24°C (75°F) but the nights are cold. From September it starts to heats up and you can expect temperatures up to 35°C (95°F) in October and November, with low humidity.

    Rainy Season:
    The rainy season from December to March is hot and humid and roads into South Luangwa become impassable. Most lodges close during this period.

    Chichele Presidential Lodge allows guests the opportunity to spot a wide range of game, including the elusive Wild Dog and several endemic species. The lodge is also well known for Leopard. Guests can spot the nocturnal Leopard during one of the night game drives.
